Mr. Lawrence M. Buck
Founding Headmaster

Mr Buck was born in England and his early years were spent teaching in London and Hereford where he became Headmaster of two large independent schools. His taste for teaching abroad came during various short spells teaching in Minneapolis USA, Denmark and France. He then moved to the Philippines in 1994 to become Headmaster of The British School Manila. Under his leadership the school doubled in population and established itself as one of the leading International schools in the country. In 2002 Mr Buck was invited to become Founding Headmaster of Mahatma Gandhi International School (MGIS). After establishing the school he had a short spell back in the UK where he finished his academic studies and Italy where he headed schools in Milan and Bologna. In 2007 he returned to continue as Headmaster of our school and immediately secured for MGIS the status of an IB World school gaining accreditation for the Diploma Programme.
